Is Rate Me free to use?

Yes for clients — posting a job, receiving offers and chatting with contractors is free. Contractors create a free profile and buy credits to apply to jobs (8 credits per application). There is no monthly subscription.

How do I know who I'm hiring?

Every account is email-verified. Contractor profiles show their trades, service area, portfolio photos and ratings from completed jobs, so you can compare before you choose. You can report any profile to our team, and accounts that break our rules are suspended.

How does the rating system work?

When a job is completed, the client rates the contractor from 1 to 5 stars, with an optional comment. Only one review is allowed per job, and only for jobs that actually took place on Rate Me.

When does the app launch?

The web app is already available at rate-me.uk — create your account and start today. Our iOS and Android apps are coming soon to the App Store and Google Play.

How do I become a contractor?

Tap "Join as a Contractor", create your account and choose your trades and service area. Add a bio and portfolio photos, buy a credit pack, and you can start applying to jobs straight away.

Is my data secure?

Yes. Payments are processed by Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1), all traffic is encrypted over HTTPS, and we follow UK GDPR. We never sell your data.
